STAGES Welcomes Peter Filichia

STAGES is proud to welcome theater critic Peter Filichia for a humorous and compelling one-man retrospective on a life in the American Theater.

Mr. Filichia, featured columnist for theatermania.com and theater critic for the Newark Star Ledger, will present his special one man show, "A Personal History of the American Theater: What's it Really Like to be a Theater Critic? Is it as Much Fun-or as Awful-as it Seems?" From a simple stack of notecards for prompts, Mr. Filichia will share both personal and classic eye-opening tales of musicals and plays dating back to the late 1950s. A special question and answer session will follow the presentation.

The event, conceived and directed by Michael Hamilton, will be hosted by Managing Director Ron Gibbs and feature Musical Director Lisa Campbell-Albert on the piano.

August 10th Musical Cabaret Raises $60,000

Ben, Ron, & Jack - Together Again for the First Time held on August 10 raised proceeds of over $60,000.  Funds raised from the event will go to support the Stages education & outreach programs, which have served over 6,500 students in the metro area since their inception five years ago.  learn more...
