COVID-19 Updates

October 20th, 2020

At STAGES Performing Arts Academy, we are excited to be back to in-person classes for our Fall 2020 Semester.  With our new classes, workshops and productions, we are bringing our superior level of education to the community in a safe and protective way.  In order to operate our in-person instructions, modifications in class capacity and curriculum material have been made with great care to ensure our classes are as safe as possible, with options for families to continue learning at home.

Some of our new policies and protocol include the following:

  • Our Student lounge will be closed to visitors
  • Our classes have shortened by 5 minutes to allow disinfecting, hand hygiene, and social distancing in class transitions
  • Social distancing in classes is marked by spots on the floor
  • Offering classes both in-person or online (live via Zoom) – families can choose their preferred delivery of classes
  • No shared props or supplies that cannot be easily and thoroughly disinfected after each use
  • No food consumed in the building (water bottles only)
  • Water fountains disconnected
  • Additional building cleaning and disinfecting
  • Face masks are required for students, faculty, and staff
  • Added hand sanitizer stations at each entrance and in each classroom and required hand hygiene at entry to building for all students and staff and faculty
  • Students and staff are required to stay home if they show any flu-like symptoms, a fever of 100.4 or greater, or if they have been exposed to someone with COVID-19.  There is no negative consequence for students or staff staying home for these reasons
  • All students faculty and staff entering the building will be required to have their temperature scanned at the entrance by an member of our administrative team before being allowed into the building for class

Your continued trust and support in STAGES Performing Arts Academy is greatly appreciated.  We thank you for supporting us as we navigate the new normal in order to provide our students and families a safe place to create art.
