STAGES St. Louis is the region’s foremost professional, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit theatre company, committed to preserving and advancing the art form of Musical Theatre through excellence in performance and education. STAGES, now celebrating its 38th year of producing Broadway-quality theatre, employs a full-time staff of twenty-five and a seasonal company from May to October, presenting 140 performances to over 50,000 patrons.
STAGES employs the best Musical Theatre artists available regionally and nationally for all productions. By holding auditions in St. Louis and New York, STAGES is able to attract not only Broadway talent, but also further its commitment to support professional St. Louis actors. In addition, STAGES educates thousands of students each year at its Performing Arts Academy, the region’s only year-round arts school with a comprehensive curriculum run by a professional theatre company.

Academy
Teaching Artists (SUMMER)
TEACHING ARTISTS
At STAGES Performing Arts Academy, we are dedicated to cultivating creativity in a safe and engaging environment. We continually search for energetic arts educators to join our inspiring team of teaching artists. SPAA offers evening and weekend classes, full-scale productions, community outreach programming, and summer camps for students grades K-12; all of which need teaching artists to make it possible!
Currently, we are searching for educators for both our on-site classes and community outreach programs for the 2025 summer season. Summer camps run from June 2nd – August 9th, Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm.
These educators should confidently manage a classroom, as well as promote growth within students through these specific areas of focus:
- Vocal Instruction
- Dance Instruction
- Acting Instruction
Key Responsibilities:
- Create weekly lesson plans, activities, and/or rehearsal schedules.
- Teach weekly sessions ranging in 3-6 hours in length (half-day & full-day options).
- Prepare students for a 15-minute, high-quality showcase performance to take place at the end of each camp session.
- Communicate consistently with students and parents regarding important class or production information.
- Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions.
Desired Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent work experience
- Experience in teaching the performing arts (acting (stage & screen), voice, and/or dancing)
- Passion for arts education
- Ability to play piano (applies to music directors only; must be able to play both accompaniment and vocal parts)
- Attention to detail and commitment to excellence
- Excellent relationship-building, management, and problem solving skills
- Ability to remain calm, collected, and patient under pressure

Compensation:
- $350/week for half-day camps, $700/week for full day camps ; paid as a bi-weekly stipend

Administrative
Development Assistant
STAGES St. Louis (STAGES), a non-profit Musical Theatre company, seeks a part-time Development Assistant to manage Donor Perfect database, input and acknowledge gifts, and assist with Development projects.
Team Member Responsibilities and Key Objectives
The Development Assistant is responsible for managing the donor database and assisting the Development Team with the following activities:
- Develop an advanced understanding of Donor Perfect CRM Database
- Implementing best practices for Donor Perfect
- Enter donations and pledges with 100% accuracy
- Generate letters of acknowledgment and invoices for gifts in a timely manner
- Prepare and mailing renewal letters
- Run reports and pull segmented donor lists from Donor Perfect
- Review local media sources for donor profile updates – deaths, marriages, births, etc.
- Prepare gift imports for QuickBooks and balancing posts with the Finance Department
- Work with Marketing Department on e-blasts using Constant Contact and Dot Digital
- Conduct prospect research
- Demonstrate professionalism with donors and staff
- Assist with planning and logistics for major fundraising events including the Applause Gala, Cheers, Trivia Night, donor thank you events, and pre/post show receptions
- Work the STAGES Central Hospitality Table at the Kirkwood Performing Arts Center during the show season to sell merchandise, answer questions from patrons and assist VIP donors at The Center Stage Club
- Prepare VIP / Producer’s Circle lists for parking and The Center Stage Club
- Other duties as assigned

Part Time/Seasonal Box Office Associate
STAGES St. Louis, a professional musical theater company, is seeking several box office associates for the upcoming 2025 season. This is a part-time, seasonal position.

· During show weeks, our box office is open 7 days a week, both daytime and evening hours. During non-show weeks, our box office is open 6 days a week, daytime hours only. Candidates should have the ability to work both days and evenings at the Kirkwood Performing Arts Center (Downtown Kirkwood) and days at the Kent Center (Chesterfield).

The STAGES St. Louis Spotlight on Careers Internship + Apprenticeship Programs is designed to train the next generation of theatre professionals in the skills necessary to become successful and integral parts of the theatre community. We combine practical hands-on experience with the opportunity to work with and learn from seasoned theatre professionals. Carpenters
STAGES St. Louis, a professional musical theatre company entering our 39th season, is seeking Production Staff to join our 2025 Season. The Season consists of three large-scale musicals: Murder for Two, the pre-Broadway production of Austen’s Pride, and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical and runs from May through October. Start and End dates depend on each position. All seasonal positions are paid bi-weekly on Fridays. Although limited housing is available, preference will be given to local (St. Louis, Missouri) applicants.

Stages St. Louis is looking for Carpenters for our 2025 season. Although start and end dates are flexible, we hope to find personnel that can fulfill the largest contract possible. The Carpenters work closely with the other members of the carpentry staff to build scenery and load in and out shows.

Stages St. Louis is looking for a Launderer for our 2025 season. Although start and end dates are flexible, we hope to find personnel that can fulfill the largest contract possible. The Launderer works closely with the other members of the wardrobe team.

- Perform stain removal or odor removal practices
- Assist setup, maintenance, and tear down of dressing rooms
- Perform repairs or alterations on costumes, wigs, and accessories
- Assist in the strike and storage of each production
- Assist in the costume shop as needed between shows
